For Single Women.

Surrogacy for single women in Armenia is legal, guaranteeing the rights of single mothers and a simple paperwork process. The main requirement is the mandatory use of the client's own biological material (eggs), as the use of donor eggs by single women is legally restricted or requires special conditions. Biological relation: The child must be genetically related to the single mother. Medical indications: There are compelling medical reasons preventing the mother from carrying the child to term.

For Single Men: Biological necessity is recognized; however, you must provide your own genetic material (sperm).

The Genetic Link Rule: In all three jurisdictions, at least one parent must have a genetic link to the child. For single parents, this means you must use your own eggs or sperm. Double donation (donor egg + donor sperm) is not permitted.

Choosing the Right Destination for Single Parents

1. Armenia: The Primary Destination for Singles

Armenia stands out as the most inclusive and legally secure option for individuals.

• Legal Status: Armenian law explicitly allows single individuals (both men and women) to access surrogacy services.
• Parental Rights: The intended parent is registered as the sole legal parent on the birth certificate.
• International Friendly: Highly streamlined for parents from the UK, Europe, and Asia.

2. Georgia is for Couples Only

Georgia has traditionally been a hub for surrogacy, but primarily focuses on heterosexual couples (married or cohabiting). Surrogacy is prohibited for single foreign parents, so it is better to choose another country.. We typically recommend Armenia as a more stable alternative.

3. Kazakhstan: For Married Couples Only

It is important for intended parents to understand the strictness of Kazakh law to avoid legal risks.

• Status for Singles: Under the "Code on Marriage and Family," surrogacy in Kazakhstan is strictly reserved for legally married heterosexual couples.
• Recommendation: Because a marriage certificate is a mandatory legal document for the surrogacy contract in Kazakhstan, this destination is not available for single parents.
